Ad 2 Phoenix selects Arizona as 1999-2000 public service client

PHOENIX, AZ (September 29, 1999)ŠAd 2 Phoenix has chosen the Arizona Alliance for Arts Education, out of a group of more than 50 applying Valley non-profit organizations, as this year's public service client.

The Arizona Alliance for Arts Education is the local affiliate of the Kennedy Center Alliance for Arts Education Network, a 45-state coalition of organizations committed to supporting programs and policies emphasizing the arts in American education.

The Arizona Alliance is made up of nearly 20 arts organizations and educational institutions around the state ­ including the three major public universities, Arizona Commission on the Arts, Arizona Parent Teacher Association, Arizona School Board of Education, Arizona Dance Arts Alliance, Arizona Music Educators Association and the Arizona Theatre Alliance. The group works to develop partnerships across the state to ensure a quality arts education for K-12 students.

"We are really excited about taking on the Arizona Alliance for Arts Education as our public service client for this year," said Lisa Vannice, public service chair for Ad 2 Phoenix. "There is a tremendous opportunity for us to help create a greater awareness of the importance of arts education programs in schools around the state."

Each year, Ad 2 Phoenix creates a comprehensive pro bono marketing and advertising campaign on behalf of a Valley non profit. The club's past three public service campaigns have had a collective value of more than $1 million ­ including creative, public relations and legislative services, print and broadcast placement , fund-raising and promotional events, Internet services and much more.

Past Ad 2 Phoenix clients have included Arizona Save-A-Life Alliance, Harvest for Humanity, Phoenix Clean and Beautiful, Aid to Adoption of Special Kids, Arizona Center for the Blind and Visually Impaired and Stardust Building Supplies.
