Tim Riester named 2005 J. Terry Groener Ad Person of the Year
Ad 2 Phoenix is proud to announce the winner of the 2004 J. Terry Groener Advertising Person of the Year was Tim Riester, president and CEO of Riester~Robb. The J. Terry Groener Ad Person of the Year Award is the most prestigious and the highest recognized award for advertising in the state. The winner must be: A contributor to the betterment of the advertising industry. An active participant in community service and presently active in advertising, marketing or communications. For more than 45 years Ad 2 Phoenix, a chapter of the American Advertising Federation has annually recognized a leader in the advertising industry for their outstanding commitment and contributions.
"Winning Ad Person of the Year is a tribute to the entire agency and all of the hard work our team has put in every day for the past 16 years," said Tim Riester, president and CEO of Riester~Robb. "To achieve this level of recognition is truly an honor, but it couldn't have been accomplished without my incredibly talented partner Dave Robb, and the entire organization. I've surrounded myself with innovative and creative people here at Riester~Robb."
Riester, whose mother and grandfather were both successful creative leaders in the advertising industry, began his storied career in Ohio as a news and commercial production broadcaster. His talent was recognized early, resulting in a move to Phoenix and a number of promotions -- giving him a breadth of experience including news producer, co-host of an outdoor sports talk show, and account and creative management positions. In 1989, his entrepreneurial spirit got the best of him and together with Dave Robb, they formed Riester~Robb. Since the organizations' inception, Riester has led the agency to be listed on Inc. Magazine's 500 list as the fastest-growing, privately held ad agency in the U.S. for four consecutive years.
Riester~Robb is a full-service advertising and public relations firm providing a complete range of integrated services in brand planning, advertising, media planning, public relations, and interactive. The agency has offices in Los Angeles, Denver, Salt Lake City and Phoenix. Riester~Robb has been named the fastest growing, privately held advertising and public relations agency in the country by Inc. Magazine four consecutive years. In 2001, Creativity Magazine listed Riester~Robb among the Top 20 Creative Agencies to Watch in America.
