Chris McMurry, CEO of McMurry Inc. named 2008 J. Terry Groener Ad Person of the Year

Ad 2 Phoenix has been a part of the Phoenix advertising landscape for more than 50 years and continues to provide opportunities for our industry's future contributors to gain skills in areas such as leadership, public service, and diversity. Ad 2 Phoenix is also the organization that honors the best and brightest each year with the J. Terry Groener Ad 2 Phoenix Ad Person of the Year award.

Ad 2 Phoenix and the entire Phoenix advertising community lost a dear friend when J. Terry Groener passed away. While Ad 2 Phoenix has been sponsoring this award for decades, it eventually adopted J. Terry Groener's name alongside that of the Ad 2 organization when Terry left us much too soon.

Just as Terry was, the winner must be a contributor to the betterment of the advertising industry; an active participant in community service and presently active in advertising, marketing or communications. This year's winner meets all three of those criteria.
